Russel Braga is an American layman of Yucatec Maya descent who believes in The Way of Love: Braga employs his God–given talents to serve others for the honor and glory of God alone. Russel Braga currently serves as Senior Manufacturing Production Manager for a global corporation with full oversight of plant operations in the manufacturing of connectivity products for the global telecommunications industry. Braga's experience and passion for lean manufacturing started in 2017 as Founder and Principal of Allmigo® Allergy Friendly Foods, LLC with his dedication to organizational excellence and operational discipline to producing at scale, and researching and developing uniquely safe foods to help people with life–threatening food allergies.
Russel Braga is also a composer and member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), and a guitarist with formal studies in classical guitar performance, composition, and orchestration. Additionally, Russel Braga has formal studies in Peninsular Spanish literature and Latin American poetry. Braga’s technical studies and expertise include Lean Manufacturing, Extrusion Technology, Lean & Six Sigma, Continuous Process Improvement, Project Management, Quality Management, Operational Excellence, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Food Production Operations and Processing, Sanitation, and the Culinary Arts with a Preventative Controls Qualified Individual Certification for Human Food, a HACCP Certification, and Auditor certifications for TL9000 (based on ISO 9001), and certifications in ISO 1400 for Environmental Management Systems, along with undergraduate sophomore studies in Economics and Finance.
Russel Braga is also a Higher Education leadership expert with hands–on proven experience focused on increasing revenue streams while employing lean and six sigma methodologies via increased enrollment and degree completion through fast-track academic road maps, workforce to academic pathways, and embedded three-way fluid CE ‹–› Workforce ‹–› Academic stacked industry certification pathways within academic programs, and industry partnerships practicum to accelerate student success and economic mobility while employing his talent in data analytics, strategic information systems, Labor Market Intelligence, creative marketing, and his God-given creativity to solve problems and innovate on behalf on his constituents. Russel Braga’s unique approach to enhance higher education institution resides in his passion to employing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies by streamlining enrollment and administrative processes, improving student satisfaction, and increasing overall efficiency. Russel Braga applies principles that focus on reducing defects and optimizing quality in educational institutions. Prior to his recent leadership roles in lean manufacturing, Russel Braga served as Program Director for the School of Health Science at a Texas public university overseeing the academic quality, strategic growth, student success and supporting faculty excellence and external partnerships of a Ph.D., Master Degree and Bachelor Degree programs. He has also served in Higher Education leadership roles as Program Manager at two major Community College Districts in Texas.
Braga holds five certifications from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) for Open Water Scuba Instructor, Dive Master, Rescue Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, and Open Water Diver. Further, Russel Braga holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Texas Woman’s University where he enrolled in honor of his mother, wife, and three beautiful daughters. Braga also holds a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Music from Southern Methodist University Meadows School of the Arts, and a double major in Spanish from the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. Braga also holds a Culinary Arts Certificate Degree from Collin College, and an Associate in Arts degree with a field of study in music from Dallas College.
Premieres of Russel Braga’s compositions include Doctoral Recitals at the University of North Texas, student recitals at the SMU Meadows School, and at the Fine Arts concert series at St. Monica Catholic Church.
